About

A lawn company built like a route, not a franchise.

Meridian Turf Co. is a fictional Kansas City lawn care crew, invented for this demo. But everything about how it works, fixed route days, soil-temp scheduling, quotes without phone calls, is exactly what a modern KC lawn company should offer.

How we operate

Three rules the whole company runs on.

The route is the promise

Same crew, same day, every week. A lawn crew that shows up on a different day each week is a coin flip with a trailer, so the fixed route day is the one promise we build everything else around. Rain pushes a route by one day, never off the map, and you get a text either way.

Agronomy over folklore

Every treatment on the calendar exists because transition-zone research says it works, timed by soil temperature instead of by tradition. No mystery blue spray, no "spring special" that is just the winter invoice wearing a hat. If we would not put it on our own fescue, it does not go on yours.

Priced in the open

Our prices are on the website and in the quote builder, the same numbers for everyone with the same lawn. If a visit is not needed, it is skipped and not billed. Surprise line items are how lawn companies lose ten-year customers to save ten dollars, so we simply do not have any.

The crew

The people on your route.

Cole Merritt

Founder & route lead

Started Meridian in 2019 with one trailer, a walk-behind, and a theory: KC homeowners did not hate lawn companies, they hated calling them. Still cuts the Thursday Brookside route himself.

Has striped the same double-diamond into his own backyard for six straight seasons.

Dana Okafor

Turf program director

Agronomy, K-State. Writes the Meridian 5 calendar every winter from soil-temperature data, then spends the season adjusting it lawn by lawn. If you get a text explaining brown patch at 7am, it was Dana.

Keeps a soil thermometer in the truck cupholder. Uses it at parties.

Sam Reyes

Crew lead, Kansas routes

Runs the Prairie Village and Overland Park routes. Fastest clean edge in the company and the reason the gate-photo policy exists: his idea, after one escaped beagle in 2021.

The beagle was fine. Sam still carries treats.

Priya Natarajan

Office & scheduling

The reason the evening-before text always arrives and the quote follow-up never takes more than one business day. Handles rain-delay tetris for four crews without breaking the fixed-day promise more than weather absolutely forces.

Has rescheduled an entire week of routes around a Chiefs parade. Twice.

Fully licensed and insured in Missouri and Kansas. Certified applicator on staff for every treatment route.

Serving Brookside to Overland Park, one route at a time.
