Fall cleanup is turf protection, not tidiness

A matted layer of wet leaves is a smothering blanket: it blocks light during the exact weeks fescue is storing energy for winter, holds moisture against the crown, and gives snow mold somewhere to start. Waiting for the last leaf to fall and doing one giant cleanup in December is how lawns go into winter already losing.

We run fall cleanup as two to three passes through leaf season. Light drops get mulched back into the lawn, which is genuinely good for it; heavy drops get collected and hauled. Your final visit includes a shorter final cut, because fescue left long over winter mats and molds.

Spring cleanup opens the route

March cleanup clears what winter left: downed sticks, matted leaves in fence lines and bed corners, gravel the plow threw into the yard. We cut back ornamental grasses and perennials, re-edge the beds, and run the first cut of the year slightly lower to lift winter-flattened turf and wake it up. Then the weekly route takes over.

One crew, one standard

Cleanups are done by the same crew that mows your lawn all season, which means they know where the low spot holds water and which gate the dog tests. Everything hauled is composted or chipped; nothing goes to a landfill that does not have to.
